Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between dyed, carbon, and ceramic tint?

Dyed tint is the most affordable option and provides basic heat rejection and privacy. Carbon tint offers better heat rejection and does not interfere with radio or GPS signals. Ceramic tint is the premium option โ€“ it blocks up to 60% of heat, 99% of UV rays, and does not fade over time.

How long does professional window tint last?

Quality window tint lasts 5 to 10 years depending on the type and care. Ceramic tint lasts the longest. Standard dyed tint may need replacement after 3-5 years in hot climates. All our tint comes with a manufacturer warranty against bubbling, peeling, and discoloration.

Will window tint affect my car’s radio or GPS signal?

Only metallic tint blocks signals. We do not use metallic tint. Our carbon and ceramic options are signal-friendly โ€“ your radio, GPS, and keyless entry will work normally.

Can I wash my car immediately after tint installation?

No. Wait 3-5 days before washing your car. Avoid rolling down windows for the first 3 days to allow the film to cure completely. When you wash, use a soft cloth and ammonia-free cleaner.

Does window tint really reduce heat inside the car?

Yes significantly. Ceramic tint blocks up to 60% of solar heat. Carbon tint blocks 40-50%. Even standard tint reduces heat by 30-40%. Your car will stay cooler, your AC won’t work as hard, and you’ll save gas.

What is the difference between dye-based and carbon-based window tint?

Dye-based tint absorbs heat but can fade or discolor after a few years. Carbon-based tint contains carbon particles that block more heat, do not fade, and give a matte finish. Carbon also does not interfere with electronics.

How is window tint applied to a car’s windows?

The window is thoroughly cleaned. The tint film is cut to size using a computer or by hand. The film is applied using a soapy solution and a squeegee to remove bubbles and water. The edges are trimmed for a perfect fit. The film cures over 3-5 days.

What are the benefits of tinting my car windows beyond privacy?

Tinting provides UV protection for your skin, reduces heat, prevents interior fading, reduces glare for safer driving, and adds shatter resistance to your windows. In an accident, tint can hold broken glass together.
